As a postgraduate student, you are automatically a member of the Graduate School.
The Graduate School Centre (A18 Trent Building) provides dedicated postgraduate social and study spaces, networked PCs, AV equipment, tele-conferencing facilities, daily newspapers and access to Graduate School expertise, including funding advice.
The Graduate School's Researcher Development programme offers a broad and comprehensive range of research training courses which help students develop vital transferable skills. These courses are free of charge for all registered research students.

As well as the space in the Graduate School you have access to a number of Satellite Graduate Centres across the University:
The Graduate School provides a year round programme of social and academic events. These range from information about funding bids to coffee and cake social networking events. You can also get rewarded by attending the events through the Graduate School loyalty scheme.

Funding
Although sourcing funding for postgraduate study can be a complicated matter, the Graduate School provides information about a number of funding opportunities available to postgraduate students and also offers some financial support of its own.

The PGSA is the representative body for all postgraduate students at the University. Its aim is to make the postgraduate experience at Nottingham as enjoyable and rewarding as possible. The PGSA organises all sorts of events throughout the year.
